Youth Well-being Movement

Join our Youth Well-being movement to promote good youth mental health!

The Youth Well-being Movement is a collective of people working together in support of good youth mental health and to end the stigma and discrimination experienced by young people suffering from mental health problems.

We are there for you

We believe that early intervention will help to prevent the onset of mental illness and we strive to form a happier youth by modelling and inspiring.

Already young people are suffering from mental health problems for up to ten years before they receive support. The waiting list for therapy can be months or years long depending on which area of the UK they live.

Suicides and self harm are at an all time high – up to three teenagers are committing suicide each week – making this a real public health crisis.

Among the collective supporting the Youth Wellbeing Movement, we have Linda Evans, Denise Pearson, Alan Smallman and many more. We are constantly looking for more prominent figures and exceptional people to promote our cause.

On UK Youth Wellbeing Movement 2017 and 2018 we organised surprise flashmob events at various high profile London locations, featuring Britain’s Got Talent winners and world under-16 dance champions, Entity All Stars, led by choreographer Tashan Muir.

Become Our Ambassador

Why should I become your Ambassador?

  • One in five children between the ages of 13 and 18 is affected by a mental illness
  • 50% of mental illnesses in adulthood are seen before the age of 14 and 80% by the age of 25
  • It can take up to 10 years between a young person to develop the first symptoms and the first intervention

What does the Julian Campbell Foundation do?

We train mentors with an accredited program and run drama workshops in schools showing young people how to identify depression and anxiety in themselves – and others – and act to change their moods.

Our Mentors

  • Our mentors support young people in the community to manage their health and well-being.
  • Our mentors identify a young person suffering from a mental health difficulty and can refer them for extra support.
